The miniature 3-axis load cell LCM3B is designed for high-precision, compact force measurement, featuring an ultra-compact footprint of just 40×40 mm and a low profile of 20 mm in height. Constructed from lightweight aluminum, it is available in rated capacities of 1kg and 2kg. The LCM3B tri-axial force sensor measures forces in three mutually perpendicular axes—Fx, Fy, and Fz—simultaneously, without requiring any mathematical manipulation for vector resolution. Each axis is configured with a full Wheatstone bridge circuit featuring a 500-ohm resistance, which allows for lower power consumption compared to typical 350-ohm bridge sensors. This tri-axial load cell can measure both tensile and compressive forces on all three axes, delivering positive output in compression and negative in tension, or vice versa depending on the setup. The LCM3B 3D load cell is ideal for a wide range of industrial and research applications, including robotic force control, gripper force monitoring, anti-collision systems, medical device testing, haptic feedback development, surgical tool sensing, and joystick calibration. With its small size and precise output, it offers a reliable solution for space-constrained environments requiring multi-axis force sensing.
