Low profile Through Hole Reaction Torque Sensor RTT02 is made from stainless steel based on proven strain gauge technology. While intended primarily for static torque measurement, RTT02 can also measure dynamic torque thanks to Newton's third law of motion: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Hollow torque transducer RTT02 is designed for installation between test pieces such as motors, switches or shafts and their mounting plate with the rotating axis passes through the center thru-hole, and measures the reaction moment of the rotating shaft regardless of the rotational speed. Reaction torque transducers have no moving parts and requires no maintenance, this offers a less expensive solution to in lieu of rotary torque sensors when steady-state measurements are acceptable. Stationary torque meter RTT02 operates and is calibrated in both clockwise and anticlockwise direction, typical applications include fluid viscosity measurement, torsional test machines, testing of various rotary actuators and process control equipment.
